Lee the contrast is very pretty, the leaf has nice clarity, as do the front berries and the macro is fantastic. Good job.
Do you have any idea where I click to follow your blog? I've looked a few times and can't seem to find how to do this here. I like it when those I follow are on my dashboard, I can link into the photo in an instant and see when new posts are put up.

Have an awesome day! Oh and as for shooting portraits, go for it, we don't know what we can do until we try. I'm going to keep trying until I have it figured out and from what I've been playing around with thus far I seem to be sort of getting it. I take tons of photos though trying different things, so all you need is a patient model. This young lady whom I did the shoot for was so much fun and she didn't mind me taking all the time in the world to try different things.
